Give it a defined task
Specify the records, transaction type, checks, and expected output. A useful instruction asks the assistant to compare identified records, cite the sources, and list missing evidence. A broad request to find every error leaves the review difficult to reproduce.
Verify the inputs
Extraction can misread an amount, date, currency, or invoice identifier. Check critical fields against the source before relying on them. Use approved formulas for calculations and retain their inputs.
Keep uncertainty visible
Ask for missing, conflicting, or ambiguous evidence to be reported. A plausible explanation is not proof that a service occurred or a payment cleared. Treat findings as proposals for the designated reviewer.
Retain authority and history
Use an approved processing environment and only the data needed for the task. Instructions do not replace access controls. Keep the output used, evidence, reviewer decision, and follow-up with the transaction. Your authorized personnel decide on corrections and payment actions.
